Advanced Safety Module

Overview

When it comes to safety, compromises are not an option. The Yaskawa Sigma-7 system easily integrates FSoE safety concepts. The Advanced Safety Module offers up to 16 safety functions. 10 functions can be controlled independently at the same time. This allows secure and easy control even for the most complex applications.

The Advanced Safety Module can be combined with a Sigma-7 400 V SERVOPACK FT91 EtherCAT to design optimum safety in a machine system according to industry needs.

You can choose between two modules. One with FailSafe over EtherCAT ® (FSoE) and no physical I/Os and one with FailSafe over EtherCAT ® (FSoE) and additional physical I/Os.

Accessories

In order to setup the Advanced Safety Module, the software tool "Advanced Safety Module Parameter Editor" is required. This certified editor is used to configure the safety functions running on the Sigma-7 Safety Option Module (SGD7S-OSB01A or SGD7S-OSB02A).

Please note that this software tool is designed to be used by a Safety Engineer or equivalently skilled person.
