Hannover Messe 2023 - Review

From CO2-neutral production to energy management and Industry 4.0 - we were able to give many visitors from all over the world new impetus at our stand with our solutions and products on this year's industry focus topics. With our exhibits and topics at the stand, we took up the trade fair's key topics of "Industrial Transformation", "Digitalisation" and "Sustainability" and made them tangible.

In particular focus once again was our Industry 4.0 concept “i³ Mechatronics,” which connects classical mechatronics and information and communication technology with digital solutions such as artificial intelligence, big data and the internet of things.

Having introduced the concept at the last Hannover Messe, we have gone on to further develop the global version of “"i³ Mechatronics Demo Cell"” in the interim. This year we also showcased the Yaskawa Cockpit (YCP) on the “i³ Mechatronics demo cell ” packing line. The YCP uses four add-ons for displaying production performance data, cycle time data, the alarm history and the data monitor. The data extracted from our components supplies the user with a whole range of valuable information.

We also introduced the newest practical applications for this platform – including the new control variants in the i³ CONTROL portfolio – at the fair. Another highlight was the premiere of the new I/O-Link module, which is available now to enhance the tried and trusted decentralized I/O and control system SLIO together with the Yaskawa IO-Link Manager software.

The Yaskawa trade fair exhibition was rounded off with the latest developments from the Motoman portfolio: Robots “made in Europe” from the robot factory in Kočevje, Slovenia illustrated how current market requirements can be fulfilled. In live operation, the 30 kg Motoman HC30PL cobot was a sight to behold. Its exceptionally high load capacity makes the model especially ideal for palletizing applications with no protective fencing.
