Whistleblowing system

Yaskawa whistleblowing system

Whereas The Directive (EU) 2019/1937 and its implementation into local law put forward additional obligations on many companies, only a minimum of change requirements was necessary in the Yaskawa Whistleblowing System.

Yaskawa continues emphasizing integrity and reliability as corporate values. Thereby, we confirm that whistleblowers reporting in good faith their observations about breaches of law are most welcome. With your observation as a source of information, you encourage our continuous improvement process. It goes without saying that our no-retaliation policy applies. Own employees can share their concerns internally; at the same time external third parties from business partners or suppliers can report, too.

So far, there are not many changes due to the new legislation. The possibility to report to the European Headquarters, where an independent team consisting of the Yaskawa Chief Compliance Officer, the Group Compliance Officer and the HR Director will investigate your observations, will remain unchanged. This direct reporting line offers you the possibility to directly reach the place where legal observations can be dealt with on group level.

As a change to the previous system, our group companies with more than 50 employees now maintain a local reporting line, too. For reports with local impact, a direct communication line can be more efficient. At these channels a local investigation team will examine your reports. In Germany, your report to the local communication lines will be first received by an ombudsman who directs your message to the people in charge. As a whistleblower, you can choose the reporting channel according to your convenience.

Identifying compliance breaches is difficult upon first observation. In case the investigation team in charge requires more information, we would contact you through the secure inbox. The same applies if a report could not be identified as compliance relevant. We would inform you and recommend a different contact to mitigate your concern if possible.

At any communication line, reports will be answered in a timely manner and you can chose to remain anonymous or provide us with your contact details. All investigation teams will safeguard your anonymity and commit to confidentiality.

Access to the whistleblower system is possible through multiple communication channels:

An internet platform

An app for mobile devices

A telephone hotline

For the Drives, Motion, Control and Robotics Divisions in Germany

Contact the ombudsman directly by e-mail ombudsmann-yaskawa@sws-p.de or by phone

+49 99 13 79 17 52 97 or through the internet platform by selecting from the drop down menu

Yaskawa Germany – Drives, Motion, Control or

Yaskawa Germany - Robotics

Both menus are directly connected to the ombudsman.

All reports are directed to a closed platform which is hosted outside the Yaskawa networks. Translations are made by a certified translation company right in the case number you have opened. No data is shared through other systems.

Having all these measures in place, we can provide you a secure platform to share your communication.

The Yaskawa Investigation Teams are looking forward to communicating with you.
