4. Purposes of Data Processing

When you provide us with personal data, we will use this solely to answer your inquiries, process your orders or provide you with access to specific information or services.

4.1. Cookies

Cookies are text files that are stored on your computer to facilitate the analysis of your usage of the website. Data that is recorded includes information regarding your operating system, browser and IP address, the previously accessed website (referrer URL) as well as the date and time of your visit to our website. Cookies allow us to establish which websites users prefer to visit. This allows us to tailor the content of our pages to our online visitors and optimize our services accordingly. This information also enables automatic recognition of users upon their next visit to our website, which in turn facilitates user navigation. Cookies allow us, for example, to adapt a website to suit your interests or to save your password so that you do not have to enter it again.

Cookies cannot be used to launch programs or to transfer viruses to a computer

It is also possible to use our website without cookies. If you do not want your computer to be recognized upon each visit, you can prevent cookies being stored on your hard disk by selecting the "block cookies" option in your browser settings. Please refer to the instructions for your specific browser for information on how to make this setting. If you choose to block cookies, this can restrict the available functionality on our website. You can delete cookies that have been stored on your computer at any time.

Alternatively, you can configure your browser such that cookies from our specific domain are blocked. This is done with the aid of opt-out cookies.

In this case, please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies if you want to prevent your data from being recorded. If you delete all cookies in your browser, you will have to set the relevant opt-out cookie again.

4.2. Newsletter

In our newsletter, we provide information on our company and services at regular intervals.

In order to receive our newsletter, you must provide us with a valid e-mail address along with information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified e-mail address or that the address owner consents to the delivery of the newsletter. No other data is collected. This data is used only to send out the newsletter and is not passed on to third parties. The collected data is not compared with data that may be recorded by other components of our website.

When you subscribe to the newsletter, we save your IP address and the data of your subscription. This data is saved only as a means of verification in cases where a third party misuses an e-mail address and subscribes to the newsletter without the knowledge or authorization of the address owner.

You can revoke your consent to the storage of your data and e-mail address, as well as its use to send out the newsletter, at any time. You can revoke your consent using the contact details provided on this page.

4.3. Newsletter Tracking

Our newsletters contain web bugs, which allow us to identify whether and when an e-mail has been opened and which links in the e-mail were followed by the personalized recipient.

We save this data so that we can tailor our newsletters to the needs and interests of our subscribers. The collected data is thus used to send personalized newsletters to the individual recipients.

We will ask you to consent to this at the relevant point in our website.

By revoking your consent to receiving the newsletter, you will also withdraw your consent to the aforementioned tracking.

4.4. Contact Form

On our website, we offer you the possibility of contacting us via e-mail and/or via a contact form. In this case, only the data entered by the user is saved. We use your e-mail address to answer your inquiry as well as any follow-up questions. Your data will then be deleted, provided that you have not consented to subsequent processing and usage. In addition, the collected data is not compared with data that may be recorded by other components of our website.

4.5. Google Analytics

Our website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

Google Analytics uses "Cookies". These are text files that are stored on your computer to facilitate the analysis of your usage of the website. Data that is recorded includes information regarding your operating system, browser and IP address, the previously accessed website (referrer URL) as well as the date and time of your visit to our Internet presence. The information generated by this text file regarding your use of the website is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google uses this information to evaluate your usage of the website, to compile reports regarding website activities for the website operators and to deliver additional services concerning website and Internet usage. Where legally prescribed or where third parties process this data on behalf of Google, Google will also transfer this information to the relevant third parties. This usage of your data is anonymized or pseudonymized. More information on this subject is available directly from Google.

For further details on how user data is handled by Google Analytics, refer to Google's data privacy statement:https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=en

4.5.1. Browser Plug-in

You can prevent the storage of cookies by making a corresponding setting in your browser software; we should inform you, however, that this may result in you being unable to make full use of all the functions on this website. You can also block the collection of data generated by the cookie about your usage of the website (incl. your IP address) and the processing of this data on the part of Google by downloading and installing the following browser plug-in: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

In addition, or as an alternative to the browser add-on, you can prevent Google Analytics tracking on our pages by clicking on the following link. Disable Google Analytics (javascript:gaOptout()). This will install an opt-out cookie on your device. This will prevent any further collection of data by Google Analytics for this website and for this browser, as long as the cookie remains installed in your browser.

4.5.2. IP Anonymization Function

We make use of the "IP anonymization" function on this website. In this case, your IP address is truncated, and thus anonymized by Google within member states of the European Union or in other countries party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA before being truncated.

4.6. Google AdWords

Our website uses Google conversion tracking. Google conversion tracking is a service provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

When you navigate to our website via an ad placed by Google, a cookie is stored on your computer by Google AdWords. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google. These cookies expire after 30 days and do not serve to personally identify you. If you visit specific pages on our website before the cookie has expired, we and Google will be able to identify that you as a user have clicked on one of our ads placed with Google before being redirected to our website. The information gathered with the aid of these cookies allows Google to generate visitor statistics for our website. These statistics tell us the total number of users that have clicked on our ad as well as which pages of our website were subsequently accessed by the relevant user. However, we or any other advertisers using Google AdWords receive absolutely no information that would allow us to personally identify a user.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by making appropriate settings in your browser, for example, by deactivating the automatic installation of cookies in general or by blocking cookies set specifically by the "googleadservices.com" domain.

The corresponding Google privacy statement as available at: https://services.google.com/sitestats/en.html.

4.7. YouTube

Our website uses plug-ins of the Google-operated site YouTube. The pages are operated by YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit one of our pages featuring a YouTube plug-in, a connection is established to the YouTube servers. The YouTube server is then informed about which of our pages you have visited.

If you are logged in to your YouTube account, this allows YouTube to assign your browsing activity directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

Additional information on the handling of user data is provided in the YouTube privacy statement, which is available at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

4.7.1. YouTube with Enhanced Data Protection Mode

On our website, we utilize components (videos) of YouTube, LLC 901 Cherry Ave., 94066 San Bruno, CA, USA, a company operated by Google Inc., Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

In doing so, we make use of the "enhanced data protection mode" provided by YouTube.

When you open a page featuring an embedded video, a connection is established to the YouTube servers. The relevant content is communicated to your browser and appears on the website.

According to YouTube, "enhanced data protection mode" ensures that data is only transferred to the YouTube servers, particularly information regarding which of our pages you have visited, when you watch the video. If you are logged in to YouTube when watching the video, the corresponding information is assigned to your YouTube account. You can prevent this by logging out of your account before visiting our website.

Additional information on YouTube data protection is provided by Google at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en

4.8. User Registration

We offer you the opportunity to register on our website. The data provided by you voluntarily during registration – including your name, address, contact and communication data such as your telephone number and e-mail address – is processed solely for the purposes of using our service.

In the case of important changes, such as to our service scope, or changes that are necessary for technical reasons, we will notify you accordingly via the e-mail address provided during registration.

Registered users can choose to modify or delete the data provided during registration at any time. We are also happy to correct or delete data at your request, provided that this does conflict with our statutory data retention obligations. Please use the contact details provided on this page to request correction or deletion of your data.

When you register on our website, we also save your IP address along with the date and time of your registration. This is done as a means of protection on our part, specifically for cases where an unauthorized third party uses your data to register on our site without your knowledge or consent. The collected data is not passed on to third parties, nor is it compared with data that may be recorded by other components of our website.

4.9. Customer / Contract Data

We process your personal data only to the extent that it is necessary for the establishment, content-related design or modification of the contractual relationship (user data). Personal data regarding the use of our Internet pages (usage data) is only processed in as far as is necessary to allow the user to utilize or be billed for this service.

4.10.Job Advertisements / Online Application

To conduct the application procedure, we process your application data electronically, as well as by other methods. Electronic processing takes place particularly when you have provided us with your application documents by electronic means, for example, via e-mail.

If your application is followed by the conclusion of an employment contract, we may store your transferred data in your personnel file to facilitate the usual organizational and administrative process, while complying with the relevant legal provisions.

If your application is unsuccessful, your transferred data will be deleted automatically two months after we have notified you of the unsuccessful application.

This does not apply if we are legally required to retain your data for a longer period (for example, as a means of proof under the German General Equal Treatment Act) or if you have given your expressed consent to extended storage in our prospect database.

4.11. Security of Transmitted Data

We use state-of-the-art encryption methods (e.g. SSL) to ensure the security of your data during transfer. An encrypted data transmission is indicated by the prefix "https://" in the browser address bar. You should only transfer your confidential information when SSL encryption is activated.

5. Legal Basis for the Processing of Personal Data

We process your personal data only to the extent that it is necessary for the establishment, content-related design or modification of the contractual relationship, when we are legally required to process your personal data or when you have given us your expressed consent to do so.

6. Processing Due to Legitimate Interests

We are legally entitled to process personal data in order to safeguard our legitimate interests, provided that these are not outweighed by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the person concerned.

7. Transfer of Personal Data to Third Parties
