Yaskawa at “Blechexpo/Schweisstec” – Hall 6 / Stand 6416

“Best in Class Products and System Solutions”

Yaskawa will be appearing at “Blechexpo/Schweisstec” with the entire portfolio of its three divisions under the motto ‘Best in Class Products and System Solutions’. This broad product range is what distinguishes the company from others: it enables end-to-end solutions to be realized from the drive level to control and visualization.

The extensive corporate presence reflects a strategic focus on specialized trade fairs. The broad portfolio of components and systems offers crucial added value and provides customers with efficient, innovative and cost-effective solutions. Industry fairs such as “Blechexpo/Schweisstec” are thus a major key to new market potential for Yaskawa.

All-in-one robotics solutions for inert gas and spot welding

An error recovery unit represents a defined sequence for assuring component quality in the event of disruptions to the welding process. Coordinated or synchronous movements with at least two MA2010 welding robots and additional external axes, as appropriate, are advantageous for the purpose. The integrated “error recovery” function, software for DX200 multi-robot cells serves the purpose of defined recognition, treatment and reworking of welding errors that may occur in the course of simultaneous execution of multiple processes.

A further topic at the Yaskawa trade fair stand is Industrie 4.0, in which a CMT marking show cell (CMT stands for an arc marking process) permits interaction with trade fair visitors by means of automated manufacture of a small souvenir in business card format.

With the compact Motoman MS80W II spot welding robot as a stand model, Yaskawa is responding to the worldwide “downsizing” of spot welding guns and expanding its portfolio to include an 80 kg spot welding robot.

Comprehensive range of technically standardized all-in-one solutions

The extensive Yaskawa range enables technically standardized all-in-one solutions from one source – from the standard cell to the customized, complex system. Besides the proven Motoman robots for welding, cutting and handling (material feed), the company also offers extensive drive and control technology specifically for metalworking machines that can be easily integrated into existing machine architectures.

Automated metalworking calls for exacting standards of precision and high delivery rates, not to forget robustness, reliability and ease of maintenance of the technology employed. Yaskawa is responding to these special requirements, for example, with the latest Sigma-7 generation of servo drives. The new GA700 frequency inverter and machine controls such as the MP3300iec and VIPA motion controller are ideally suited to diverse tasks.

The Sigma-7 series of servo amplifiers with an EtherCAT and Mechatrolink interface feature numerous convenient functions such as vibration suppression that is important for the metal processing industry. When cutting, lasering and chamfering, for example, this innovative function permits exact tracking of trajectories and guarantees ultra-high-precision of the finished parts.
