Yaskawa European Headquarters in Eschborn in June 2008

In June 2008, Yaskawa Electric Europe moved from Schwalbach to Eschborn.  With the move into a significantly larger building with simultaneously improved infrastructure, Yaskawa´s affiliated companies, which were scattered across the Rhein-Main area, were also consolidated.

Schwalbach, July 23, 2007 – Yaskawa Electric Europe GmbH relocated its headquarters from Schwalbach/Ts. to Eschborn. In doing so, it combined the affiliated companies which were scattered across the Rhein-Main area into one location. The enterprises which moved into the new location are; Yaskawa Electric Europe GmbH, Yaskawa Engineering Europe GmbH, Yaskawa Controls (all of which were located in Schwalbach), and the distribution and training branch office of Motoman robotec GmbH (was located in Kronberg) were relocated in the former Kia Motors Germany buildings. These companies share the new office buildings, warehouses and training area, which provided 50% more space than before. The decisive factors of the move were the availability of appropriate rooms for the European headquarters and the lower corporate taxes at the Eschborn location. In addition, the consolidation of Yaskawa’s robot sector increases a synergy effect in Yaskawa Electric Europe.

Starting in the beginning of June 2008, more than 150 employees in total has been employed in Eschborn. Of these, around 70 are employed at Yaskawa Electric and Yaskawa Controls, 60 at the service subsidiary Yaskawa Engineering, and 20 employees at Motoman robotec.
